Because of Gavan, I never had the pleasure of meeting Gavan, but my son, Cody, talked about him so much I felt like I knew him. He was..still is..a positive influence and inspiration to him. He did so many things and made so many memories because of and with Gavan. He is a once in a lifetime kind of friend that one is truly blessed to have known.
Gavin seemed 2 be loved by alot of people and im sure he brought joy 2everyone he encountered!
I only met Gavan briefly, but within those few minutes of meeting, I was impressed with his manners, and his disposition. To be so young, I feel like he listened better than the majority of the older people that I work with.
Will always stay curious about the world. You saw it through a curious and intellectual way. I loved laughing and sharing jokes with you and I’ll ways remember the 2 day sleepover we had at my house. I think we only slept 2 hrs, saw two movies together, ate burgers, popcorn, all the fun stuff and watched countless videos together. Belle and Tucker (the cats) of course, approved of you from the first moment. You made me an Aunt for the first time and I will always cherish that. I love you Gavan. You are forever in my heart and I will carry your spirit with me, for all my days.
Your life was far too short, but the love you shared with those around you will live on. May your memory always be a blessing to your family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. Rest peacefully.
We were able to share precious childhood moments celebrating the King of Kings at Christmas time. Gavan was 16 months older than our only son, Alden. Alden learned how to open presents with the best of them! Gavan, you were a blessing on earth. God rest your sweet soul.
Gavan was whip smart and quite a character. I remember him mostly when he would come to my the Portland house and play computer games. Sweet young man he became.
Learned to listen more deeply. I met him the five days I spent at my daughter’s wedding. He was very entertaining at the meals we shared. Soar high, sweet young man.
Because of Gavan, I had loads of laughs, got to enjoy Hawai’i more and have lots of adventures. He was wonderful and joyful. He loved animals and was a very kind soul. Love you Gavan!💙💙💙
learned to try new foods. I first met Gavan when he 6 years old at a sushi restaurant. I was meeting my then-boyfriend, now-husband, brother’s family for the first time. I was so impressed to learn Gavan, at 6 y.o., ate sushi. Not only that, he liked octopus!! I had not been brave enough to try sushi until I was an adult, and still at that point did not have the courage to sample all the different varieties of sushi- octopus included. I’ll never forget that first meeting, I was smitten with his curiosity and love for food. In those early years, I enjoyed playing Lego’s for the first time with Gavan. I also enjoyed his artwork he would share. As he grew, he touched my heart being the best big cousin to our kiddos- reading books, playing at the playground, legos (of course!), and marble runs. I am so proud of the young man he grew up to be. I will miss his smile and his visits. I forever cherish all the memories we have with him to look back on.
was able to push myself to score dream job… on our solo/ family trip, crammed in his tiny convertible. he asked where is see myself in a year, and i told him i wanted to work in the beauty industry. wether it’s becoming a makeup artist or makeup content creator… he answers verbatim “that’s awesome, i think within a year you will become the best makeup girl known to man… or women” 😂 a year later , i got a job at MAC… selling makeup and making customers feel beautiful… i never got to tell him. but, i know he would’ve been so proud. he was an inspiration, my inspiration… i miss my buddy so much…
Am going to achieve our dream of becoming a police officer it was one of the many things we always talked about and he always loved when i came home with new gear and he always made sure his were better😂.Gavan was a funny and loving person and i will cherish all the memories we made together.
Gavan lived with us from 2022-2023
We have known Gavin through our granddaughters relationship with him for three years. When we first met him at a family celebration, I could see that he was nervous meeting all Trista’s extended family. I sat with him and he told me that he was shy. Reminded me of myself in my young days. Throughout the three years or so of knowing him, his sparkling personality became evident. Grew to know him and feel the love. His smile was dazzling. Too young, just too young!! 🩷😢
Because of gavan, I got to experience life in a whole different way…. I feel a lot of my growth as a person over the past few years were cause of him (which is funny cause he was younger😂) I should already know how to act but he was a huge influence. Just looked at the world as if it was a huge Lego set, he'd figure out what he wants and he built his way up… lol he had convinced me to get some kayaks last month, I’d call him and say “I really don’t know about them” and he would just talk about how fun it would be and all the places we could take them” only took 2 phones calls and I got them😂😂 He had a love for cars and bikes, I remember when I first met him at Crown Reef (thanks to mama❤️) we had just clicked… we were just constantly talking about them, just helped the time go by… I loved cars too and was working on mine at the time and he would constantly want to help me with anything I was doing to it…. Which I LOVED cause he wanted to do all the work😂😂😂 I’d just sit back in admiration cause he would get it done alot faster than me…. His laugh was SOOOO contagious, we had a lil get together one time and I just remember we were busting are butts laughing at just the smallest things (lol got so loud we woke James up) made me a lil nervous but he just kept saying “it’s for the memories and it’s not that serious”, I was a very anxious person but Because Of Gavan I felt so free everywhere we went and everything we did, felt like I could actually be me. I was so greedy with him when it came to my other friends, he was way to good for them… that’s at least what I would tell them but in reality I think it was because when it was just me and him… I felt alive I’m so glad you showed me how to live in a world that just beats you… We had drove ALL THE WAY from Myrtle beach-Spokane Washington-Seattle-Portland Oregon you drove days I drove nights and we completed it in 2 days and I feel that’s when I truly realized how grateful I was for you, I kept telling you after how amazed I was at how beautiful the west coast actually was and how I wanted to see the cliffs on the beach and he would say “one day we’re gonna come out here on some bikes and site see the cliffs” I’m so glad I got to live in the moment with you. I remember going to the docs right down the road from trista’s parents place and how there was an alligator (a small one) in the water and you had grabbed this small flimsy stick, trying to poke it, trying to get its attention for a picture, just remember I kept saying stop messing with it… I love animals but Gavan loved all (except maybe some bugs😂) You were a once in a lifetime experience and showed me that I just have to live for me and that I got to achieve and want everything for me and that I will carry on forever His strength, his heart, his kindness, his love Gavan was EVERYTHING
