This site is run by Gavan’s family. It is not a business. Nothing is for sale here, and we do not sell or trade what you share with us.

We ask for your name and email so we know who is writing and can reach you about what you sent.
Your email address, your phone number and any private note are seen only by the family. They are never shown on the site.
Your name, your words and your photos are shown on the site once the family approves them.
You can ask us to take down anything you sent, at any time.
When you share a memory: your name, your email address, how you knew Gavan, and your story. If you add photos, we also receive the photos and what you tell us about them: where each was taken, when, and who is in it.
When you sign the guestbook: your name, your email address, how you knew Gavan, and your message. You can also add your city and state, a private note to the family, and a check mark asking us to email you family news.
When you RSVP: your name, your email address, your phone number, which celebration you plan to attend, how many people are coming, and any note you add.
When you comment on a photo: your name and your comment.
Shown on the site: your name, how you knew Gavan, your story or guestbook message, and your city and state if you gave them. Photos are shown with the place, the date, the names of the people in them, and the name of the person who shared them.
Never shown on the site: your email address, your phone number, your private note to the family, and your RSVP.
Anything shown on the site can be read by anyone on the internet. We make photos harder to save, but we cannot stop someone from taking a screenshot.
The family reads each memory, guestbook entry and photo before it appears. An entry is posted exactly as you sent it, or it is not posted. We never edit what you write. If yours is not posted, we may email you so you can revise it and send it again.
Comments on photos may appear without waiting for review. The family can remove any comment.
We use it to post your entry, to contact you about your entry, and to plan the celebrations of life. If you asked for family news in the guestbook, we may email you things like service details.
We do not use it for advertising. We do not sell it, rent it or trade it.
We use a few outside companies to run this site. What you send passes through their systems. Each has its own privacy policy that covers how it handles information.
Webflow hosts the site. It stores the forms you send and the entries shown on the site.
Make moves each form you send into the site’s records.
Cloudinary receives your photos when you upload them and passes them to the site.
Cloudflare runs the check on each form that tells people apart from automated programs.
Google supplies the fonts. To load them, your browser contacts Google, so Google sees your IP address. An IP address is the number that identifies your internet connection.
This site has no advertising and no advertising trackers. We do not use an analytics service to follow what you do here.
The site’s host sets one security cookie. A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. This one helps the host tell real visitors apart from automated traffic.
If you tap the heart on a note, your browser remembers that on your own device. We receive the count. We do not receive who tapped it.
Like any website, the companies that host this one receive basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address and the type of browser you use.
Please share only photos that you took or have permission to share.
If you are in a photo on this site, or you are named in an entry, and you want it taken down, tell us and we will remove it.
This site is meant to stay online permanently, so that people can always see who Gavan was. Entries stay on the site unless you ask us to remove them or the family takes them down. RSVPs are kept for planning the celebrations of life.
You can ask us what we hold about you.
You can ask us to remove an entry, a photo or a comment you sent. Because we never edit entries, the way to change one is to ask us to remove it and then send a new one.
You can ask us to stop emailing you.
If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to send your memory for you.
We may share information if the law requires it, for example in response to a court order.
If we change this notice, we will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top.
To ask a question, or to ask for something to be removed, contact the family.
